Eco Home for Children is an excellent model for the development of homes for orphaned, distressed and-at risk children. There remains an ongoing critical need to house other at-risk orphaned children of Nepal to educate and raise them in a loving, healthy home with nutritious fool and a safe, wholesome environment. These carefully identified children will never be subject to the high-risk uncertainties of “adoption.”  They will live in the Eco Home until age 18 and be assisted in college or, if appropriate, trade school inside Nepal.

The long term goal is to have a generational impact with these educated children with proper values having future families that will multiplying into the future generations.

These photos are of a proposed site for the second Eco Home. We will need to rise initial fund of approximately $150,000 to buy the land and start the planning development process.

While exploring needs, we determined that a clean, sanitary, healthy milk supply is an ongoing problem. To help solve the ongoing problem of a need of fresh, sanitary dairy products, I am proud to be re-named “Buffalo Joe” and be responsible for the Buffalo Joe Milk for Children program.  We originally started with one female plus a cave.

Later we concluded it would be economically more practical and create positive cash flow by enlarging the heard to three to four adult buffalos plus caves. Today, the new barn has been built and we now have an enlarged heard.  All of this due to my contributions from Buffalo Buddies in Houston and recently by Glenn Dixon for his generous support.

Dr. Qzgur on foot bridge to village Joe Watson Attached as a PDF is my Trip Report for the December 2017 visit by Scott Hamilton, Rich Wilson and myself. We spent four days in Nepal reviewing Eco Home for Children and the Buffalo Joe Milk for Kids program, the site for the new to be built second Eco Home, helping extract docs and crew from the mountain village Operation Restore Vision and inaugurating the new eye hospital / clinic.

The three of us then traveled to the UAE to meet with Gulf For Good and a Dhabi sheikh regarding funding for the new Eco Home we are planning.  Also attached are the Presentation notes for the meeting with Sheikh Hamed.  Please read these notes to get a better understanding of the plan for the new home for destitute, orphaned children.

“The village of Machhakhola is a gateway to many of the smaller settlements in the mountains around the earthquake area. At the entrance to the village, a sign warns of the danger of a rice-only diet. After intake on the ground floor, patients who needed it were sent for surgery downstairs; the ORs are re-purposed guest rooms – basic, but adequate (some surgeries were performed by flashlight only.)

The next day, patients returned with eyes bandaged. 66 received cataract surgery, including one bilateral – both eyes. She came in carried by her son-in-law, totally blind. The next day she could recognize colors and count the fingers shown to her.”

Eco Home is a safe, healthy, and productive place for children without parents who otherwise would be at extreme, even mortal risk. The Eco Home children are provided a private school education and a loving,

very happy home with health care and nutritious meal. These children are not subject to the risks of uncertain adoptions and are cared for to adulthood with prospects of a higher education.
